Kyleakin Foreshore extends from Kyleakin Quarry  to the old CalMac Slipway, excludes the Harbour, then continues from the Fisherman's Pier round the headland of Castle Maol to Rubha Aird Treisnis.

The area is regularly walked and kept clear of broken glass, plastic twine (fatal to marine life and birds if ingested), items of lumber and other rubbish.

The Foreshore by the Car Park is particularly popular with canoeists and this area has been systematically cleared of broken glass over the past six years.

The Foreshore and An t'Obbe have been adopted by our Group under the 'Adopt A Beach' and 'Beachwatch' Campaigns run by the Marine Conservation Society (see LINKS page)
