Kyleakin Environmental Group (KEG) !

" CARING FOR YOUR VILLAGE "

 The Group is based in Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye.

The Objects of the Group are:

• to raise awareness of conservation and environmental issues in the Skye & Lochalsh area;
• to undertake voluntary conservation and environmental projects within the Skye & Lochalsh area;
• to work with affiliated Groups on conservation and environmental projects.

Individual Membership is open to anyone aged 16yrs and over, and at present it's FREE!  We also have Junior & Associate Membership categories.

Full training will be given on any projects that the Group undertakes, with all the necessary tools provided.

We are looking at a number of Main Projects, two of these are:

#  Establishing a Cycle Path from Kyleakin to Broadford as an off-road route

#  Renewing and extending the Rock Armouring on the Foreshore & An t'Obbe to prevent further erosion of the Village Estate

Other Projects that the Group could be involved in include:

• Tree Planting
• Habitat Management
• Coastal Protection
• Footpath Maintenance
